Personal Progress
Kayla has completed all values in her Personal Progress with the exception of Virtue; she just has to finish reading the Book of Mormon (she's about halfway through). I am so proud of her for finishing it so quickly; she has been working hard on it and had a goal to have it completed before starting seminary this coming school year.
Erica has been working on her Personal Progress too and completes at least one experience a week. Her experiences are rather sporadic throughout her book so she doesn't have a lot of values completed but still has several experiences done.
I have debated on finishing my own Personal Progress. I started my own while I served as a Young Woman leader but didn't get very far. Since they allow mothers to complete it along with their daughters, I have been debating it again. I have decided that I'm going to restart it again. My daughters have been such an example to me that I need to be an example to them now. Though I wasn't raised in the church and didn't have the opportunity to earn my medallion, I now have a second chance. Plus, the required experiences will only make me a stronger and more spiritual mother and RS sister.
Church today: Had some good lessons today in church that has caused me to ponder more on. The RS discussion on fasting has changed my topic for tomorrow's FHE (I have lesson for tomorrow).
Working out: I tried yoga with a friend, Heather Scott, yesterday and I'm feeling it. I thought that I wouldn't be sore since I had been working with a trainer but boy was I wrong. I'm sore in places that I have never felt before; those little never used muscles. I'm on a mission to get my workouts back on schedule; I've been slacking off the last few months and need to get back on track. So here is my plan (will be motified a little this week since I have one more trainer appt left): Mon, Wed & Fri -1hr cardio (30 min C5K, 30 min eliptical), Tues & Thurs-Body Pump class, and Sat-yoga. A few months ago, I was doing 2hrs of weight training and 4-5hrs of cardio a week; but no yoga. So, this schedule shouldn't be hard as I'm doing less cardio but adding yoga. But when I was doing this I was eating terrible; I'm still doing WW and will continue. With the combination of WW and my workout schedule I should see better results.
